| Bio: | Name: Mello (his full name is Mihael Keehl) What world they came from: Death Note's Earth. Birthday December 13, 1989 Age: He was 20 years old when he died. Species: Human Occupation: Mello was raised in the same orphanage L was, Wammy's House, where he was the resident second-best at everything after L's still-living successor, Near. After he self-graduated, he found fulfillment and acceptance in the Mafia, where he was quickly put in charge. Appearance: Mello is shorter for a guy and lightly built, and he dresses chiefly in black leather. His face isn't bad looking, but he twists it into so many ugly expressions so often that he scares people. His hair is a sandy strawberry blond color, and he wears it in a blunt pageboy style that adds to his disturbingly androgynous appearance. His face actually looks a bit like L's; neither have eyebrows and both possess oddly blank and glassy black eyes. Special abilities/talents: Mello is not as smart as Light or L, but he actually does have an excellent mind. He carries a large gun and isn't afraid to use it. Mello plays piano (badly), poker (extremely well), and can do a hilarious imitation of Celine Dion. Soccer is his favorite game, and he excels at it. Quirks: Mello is a fiend for chocolate. He's usually munching a bar of it, regardless of the time or place. Like L, he sits oddly, but tends to splay himself out like a bored, fidgety kid, draping his body over furniture and whatever he's interacting with. Mello secretly adores opera, though he'd never want anyone to know. He's often cruelest to the people he likes (or envies) the most. He keeps his gun in the front of his pants, the tip of the iceberg that screams Mello is a risk-taker. Mello is vain and always stares at himself in reflective surfaces. :) Many of his mannerisms, including hand gestures and inflections in speech, are so feminine that it's often unclear why Mello is still regarded as something of a tough guy. Personality: Unapologetic and explicit, Mello is the type of guy parents hope their kid never grows up to be like. A lifelong bully and spiteful loose cannon, Mello is an attention-whore who savors the spotlight, and resents it when someone else is allowed to bask in it. He is vain and self-centered, liking his appearance and doting on his hair and nails especially. He's been known to indulge in all of the seven deadly sins excessively, believing that he is entitled to things most people have to work hard for and blaming others for his own shortcomings. He's even in the Mafia. However, Mello adheres to a strict and complex code of honor, suggesting that he isn't truly as evil as he wants people to think. Sexual orientation: Mello, despite what he comes across as, is very straight. He loves women, especially mother figures, very much. He doesn't always treat females with respect, but he sees them as much nicer than men, who pretty much make a mess of the world. This might be why he plays up the feminine aspects of his character's appearance. Reputation: Mello was a high-profile Mafia boss when he died.
